OK. I'll stop beating this (colonial) horse

But the next time we invade some small country can we please just call it "Operation We Want OUR Corporations to Control and Profit from YOUR Natural Resources"?
Rather than Operation Iraqi Freedom - Operation We Want Your Oil
Guatemala - Operation We Want to Protect Our Secretary of State's Brother's Corporation Banana Profits
Chile - Operation We Don't Really Care Who You Democratically Elected, We Want Your Copper
And the list goes on.
Please?

    It will be interesting to see what happens in Venezuela. Not because the Koch brothers, who inherited their wealth (and find it to be "not enough"), buy Hugo's heavy crude (and want a new pipeline built from Alberta's tar sands to their refineries - because it is cheaper.) But because our new Secretary of State's wife is one of the Heinz heirs - and apparently they are PISSED at Hugo for not letting them do as they wanted with the tomatoe plantations in Venezuela. Shades of Guatemala, anyone?
