There really have been very few disappointments for me on this whole, crazy trip.
But I have to say that I am missing our friend rhae; and what I imagine would have been her plan to show us around Lafayette, LA, and the good music and food that would no doubt have accompanied that adventure.
Maybe we'll just have to come back!

ReplyDeletei so very much wish i was riding with you, but up the natchez trace! i have driven its length but did not have the proper time to enjoy its loveliness.
maybe we can do it all again someday!
I'd say "you make my 'top 10' list", but I can't stretch my mouth or humor that wide!

This trip has been awesome, and it would have been "off the hook" if rhae had shown us around Lafayette ("Freedom fries!" You really gotta Love Congress, esp if yer a late night comedian. Do many Americans know that the American Revolution would have failed without French support, without Lafayette? Wait, let me turn on Fox News Corporation and see...uh, ferget it. We're sunk.)
In the meantime, let's ride our bikes.
