March 1st we started a 3+ month tour in Northern California heading south, then east, and then north back home. We'd love company, so come join us for a section!

Reminds me of the sign in the Bronx zoo
When I was a kid my mother used to take my brother, sister and me to the zoo a lot, and there was this memorable sign that said "The most dangerous animal on Earth is in the next room."
We've been in the desert for days. All kinds of cactus and lizards. And the two young guys we met yesterday (who work at the REI in Philly, and biking from San Diego to FLA) were sayin' "I didn't realize how much time I would be spending putting on sun block." After seeing our matching white "casts" they shook their heads and said "I should have believed the salesperson in San Diego when he recommended those..." Time to bike from Salome to Wickenburg, and get a latte! Phoenix tomorrow. And maybe the next day, given the size of the sprawl in that city...
Is that guy wearing two casts?! A matching set? One for each arm? Better latte than ever.
